This site is dedicated to Allan James Stedjee, whose work forms the foundation for the Stedjee family genealogy.  In the days before anyone had heard of the Internet, he did his research the old-fashioned way, sending for books and documents from libraries around the country, and traveling to the places where our ancestors lived.  Even though much of the information on this site was compiled after his passing, everything here is a part of his legacy.
